The Objective
After the challenging years of COVID reaping havoc on the travel industry, the initial goal for the 2022 AGM was to create an informal gathering for ATAC members to connect with each other and to network with preferred partners for the first time since 2019. What started out as a small get together at the new Marriott Docklands, quickly evolved into a full 2-day Future Focus Conference due to an overwhelming response from members and industry partners to reconnect.
The Solution:
Learn, Connect, Engage was adopted as the event mantra under the Future Focus banner. The existing brand styling from previous years was changed to rich dark blues and golds as a symbol of hope and prosperity for the years ahead, as the travel industry rebounds.
Split over two days with the AGM and welcome drinks on the Sunday, ATAC members and partners networked like never before to smooth DJ tunes and enjoyed a perfect Melbourne sunset at Sunset House, the hotel’s resort-inspired infinity pool and rooftop bar. Day two included presentations by preferred industry partners, a training workshop, followed by a networking exhibition and panel discussions as members and industry partners collaborated to tackle the big topics facing the industry and united together to shape a bright future. A highlight was the Celebration Dinner with good food, amazing music and entertainment provided by Michael Pope, Master of Ceremonies.
Dovetail ensured every aspect of the 2-day event flowed perfectly. Starting initially with budget management, member registrations, communication with sponsors and collaboration with all third party suppliers; through to the creation of all graphics for print, social and digital, every event touchpoint was beautifully aligned so that ATAC management could focus on their members and partners.
