There was no shortage of inspiration for MICE events with amazing destinations, new concepts and innovative ideas bouncing around at the recent Get Global industry exhibition we attended in Sydney.
Described as a one-stop shop for international MICE events, Get Global is clearly not your 'normal' tradeshow. The scene was set with an engaging, open plan floor design with geographical zones themed with a mix of props, feature walls and images. No pre-scheduled appointments to stick to meant we had uninterrupted time for relaxed and meaningful discussions with contacts and familiar faces from airlines, hotels, DMCs, destination bureaus, specialty venues, representation companies and more!
So, what are some of the many things that we discovered?
- There are generous MICE incentives and rewards on offer from most Tourism Boards which assist to reduce costs and add extra surprises for delegates and which you can leverage off.
- It’s a quick and easy ferry ride from Auckland to Waiheke, where venues at amazing wineries are perfectly suited to group events of all sizes and where options for team-building are endless
- You can have exclusive use of the World Star Ferry, a traditional public ferry converted inside to a modern stylish venue for your delegates. They get to cruise around Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour enjoying drinks and canapés, as they take in one of the best cityscape views in the world!
- The idyllic island paradise of Duck Island in Noumea, can be reserved for private dinners and gala events, team-building and product launches
