Celebrating local manufacturing at the unveiling of Bluechip's latest DOG Stacker
The Objective
Bluechip Industrial Services, one of Western Australia's leading industrial fabrication and manufacturing businesses based in Henderson, unveiled its latest DOG Stacker for CBH Group with an event celebrating local manufacturing. The event needed to showcase what WA industry can build, and the people and partnerships behind it.
- Give both Bluechip and CBH Group a genuine voice on the day, alongside government representation
- Plan and run an event on a live industrial site, for 60-80 attendees including media, government and CBH stakeholders
- Bring the DOG Stacker itself to life, through an official unveiling, ribbon-cutting and working demonstration
- Capture the day for ongoing brand storytelling, from interviews to drone footage
The Solution
Dovetail took ownership of the event from planning through to delivery, working closely with the Bluechip team, CBH Group and third-party suppliers to deliver the day.
Behind the scenes, Dovetail built the full media and event pack, developed in line with Bluechip's brand guidelines to ensure every touchpoint, from key messages to the event program, was on-brand. Dovetail also managed guest invitations and built out the detailed run sheet that underpinned the event, sequencing setup, arrivals, speeches and the unveiling into a single, tightly timed program.
From 8:30am, Dovetail managed registration and the media wall setup while coordinating the coffee cart and AV suppliers, moving through AV and sound checks, a full show rehearsal, and a photographer and video light check, before a single guest arrived. By 10:30am, guests were arriving to background music, with Dovetail capturing arrival photography at the media wall and alongside the DOG Stacker itself.
The formal program was built to give each voice room. Bluechip's Managing Director, Brian Mangan and General Manager-Director, Ronald Tillet opened proceedings, followed directly by a partner address from CBH Group's Cody Thomas, then a government address from Mr David Scaife, MLA of Cockburn.
A DOG Stacker demonstration then took place, with countdown music, lighting and smoke effects building the moment as the machine powered up and moved. A guided walk-through of the Laydown Yard followed, with Dovetail capturing VIP and worker interviews alongside drone footage of the site in action.
The Result
Bluechip celebrating WA manufacturing, with CBH among the stakeholders present, in the presence of media, government representations and industry stakeholders at Bluechip's Wattleup facility, anchored by the unveiling of the latest DOG Stacker and a live demonstration of the machine that keeps WA's grain harvest moving.
Dovetail's planning and on-the-ground coordination gave both organisations a milestone event that ran to plan on a working industrial site, reinforcing Bluechip's position as a leader in sovereign Western Australian manufacturing and the strength of its relationship with CBH Group.
